North Korea's Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui criticized United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday for his remarks on another intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch last week.

"I express my strong regret over the fact that the UN secretary-general has taken a very deplorable attitude oblivious of the purpose and principles of the UN Charter and its proper mission which is to maintain impartiality, objectivity, and equity in all matters," the minister said in a statement to state media, according to Yonhap. She added that her country recently warned the secretary-general to "consider the issue of the Korean peninsula on the basis of impartiality and objectivity."

Guterres repeated his calls for North Korea to "immediately desist from taking any further provocative actions," on Friday. The most recent ICBM launch was also denounced by the G7 members who condemned the incident earlier today, branding it "brazen and reckless."
