South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that another ballistic missile has been fired from North Korea eastward, following yesterday's launch of a short-range rocket amid the rising tensions in the region.
According to preliminary reports by the South Korean military, Pyongyang has likely fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in the direction of the East Sea.
Previously, North Korea criticized the South Korea-US-Japan joint statement that focused on "strengthening extended deterrence" and threatened that Pyongyang's response would become fiercer in response to Washington's increasing military activities on the Korean Peninsula.
