Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak (pictured) stated on Tuesday at a press conference that his country is close to achieving its goal in cuts of oil production.
Novak confirmed that Russia will continue imposing its decision to reduce oil production by 500,000 barrels per day (bpd) until the end of June 2023. The new goal, originally announced to be put in force in March, is set to be fulfilled in the "coming days."
Earlier this month, Novak and his Saudi Arabian counterpart Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud reaffirmed their countries' commitment to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies' (OPEC+) decision to cut oil production.
