German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (pictured) said Tuesday that nuclear power does not answer the question about gas security in Germany.
Baerbock told reporters that Europe needs peace based on independent energy sources, so it must not let Russian President Vladimir Putin divide it. "We will not be divided because gas is scarce; instead, we stand together, and that is the most important signal to the Russian president," Baerbock said in Prague following talks with her Czech counterpart.
The minister's remarks come ahead of the EU energy ministers' meeting that will discuss the "Save Gas for a Safe Winter" plan to address the gas and energy security situation in the bloc.
