Nvidia CEO confident industry can keep AI safe

Nvidia Corp. CEO Jensen Huang said on Wednesday that tech companies can keep artificial intelligence under control amid calls for regulation and concerns over the recent turmoil at OpenAI. "I have every confidence that between all of our colleagues around the world, we will invent technologies, philosophies, methodologies, practices, monitors, regulations, design practices, to keep technology safe," he said in an interview with the BBC.

Huang praised international competition in the field. "It allows us to do our best work and make contributions to society," he added. He also confirmed Nvidia is "working closely" with the United States government to ensure the chips it supplies to China are in line with US policies and export limits.
