Nvidia Corporation and Qualcomm Technologies Incorporated both announced the integration of Meta Platform's latest language model Llama 3 on Thursday.
"The open model combined with NVIDIA accelerated computing equips developers, researchers, and businesses to innovate responsibly across a wide variety of applications," Nvidia said, adding that two early versions of Meta's language models, accelerated using Nvidia GPUs, will be accessible for utilization in cloud computing, data centers, edge computing, and personal computers. In addition, Qualcomm shared that it will enable Llama 3 to run on devices powered by Snapdragon, including smartphones, PCs, and VR/AR headsets.
Following the news, shares of Nvidia rose 1.16% to trade at $850.13 per share. Meanwhile, Qualcomm's stock was down 1.53% to sell at $161.81 apiece.
