The prices of oil futures increased on Friday after Iran signed the memorandum of understanding on joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which could endanger the negotiations between that country with the United States and the European Union as Russia and China both expressed their readiness to cooperate with their future group fellow Tehran.
Meanwhile, later in the day, the US will see its latest report on the count of oil rigs in its territory.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for settlements in October rose by 1.15% at 7:52 am ET to sell for $85.88 per barrel. At the same time, Brent for deliveries in November grew by 1.19%, selling for $91.98 per barrel.
