ANI Technologies Pvt. Ltd. said on Thursday that its flagship ride-hailing transportation system received approval from Transport for London, the Financial Times reported. Ola Cabs' operator, based in India, revealed the license is for private hire vehicles and that the service in the format may start "around September."

The startup, worth more than $6 billion according to insiders, got a standard 15-month period to develop its system, after which it will need to renew the license.
