A 13-year-old boy died on Tuesday after being stabbed by a sword-wielding man in northeast London, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
Chief Superintendent Stuart Bell further detailed that although the boy was taken to a hospital right after the stabbing occurred, "he died shortly after." He added that the investigation is in "very early stages," as the officers are working to "establish the full facts."
Bell noted that the event doesn't seem to be linked to "any act of terrorism." He reiterated that five individuals in total were injured, out of which three were civilians and two were police officers.
