OpenAI Board Director Ilya Sutskever posted on his X account on Monday for the first time following the latest developments related to the company.

"I deeply regret my participation in the board's actions. I never intended to harm OpenAI. I love everything we've built together and I will do everything I can to reunite the company," he wrote.

Previously, OpenAI's Board of Directors decided to dismiss now-ex-CEO Sam Altman with an explanation that it "no longer has confidence" that he has what it takes to lead the company further. Microsoft Corporation CEO Satya Nadella then revealed Altman will be joining the tech giant. Meanwhile, former Twitch head Emmett Shear will be taking Altman's spot in OpenAI.
