Oracle Corp. laid off hundreds of employees in its health business on Thursday, Business Insider reported. The company also "rescinded job offers and cut back open positions" according to people familiar with the matter.
Sources also claimed that Oracle-owned health tech company Cerner Corp. has seen "thousands" of job cuts since the acquisition last year, along with denials of raises and promotions. One source alleged that the latest round of layoffs is related to Cerner's involvement in a medical records project for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, which started in 2020 and has seen a number of setbacks and issues.
