The United Nations Refugee Agency said on Friday that over 5 million people have fled Ukraine since the start of the conflict with Russia. According to official data, 4,796,245 Ukrainian citizens have left the country, as well as 215,000 foreign nationals.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service previously estimated around 30,000 people per day are also coming back to Ukraine. "This significant figure suggests that migration back to Ukraine might continue increasing, potentially creating new challenges for the humanitarian response as people will need support to reintegrate into their communities or find suitable host communities if returning to their homes is no longer viable," the UN said.
