Pakistani Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed on Tuesday its "strong condemnation" for the recent "unprovoked" Irani attack that left two children dead and three injured.

In a statement, the ministry stressed that the "unprovoked violation of its airspace" can produce "serious consequences" as it undermines its territorial sovereignty despite existing channels between Islamabad and Tehran.

"Pakistan's strong protest has already been lodged with the concerned senior official in the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran … Pakistan has always said terrorism is a common threat to all countries in the region that requires coordinated action. Such unilateral acts are not in conformity with good neighborly relations and can seriously undermine bilateral trust and confidence," it was said in the document.
