The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed on Monday the United Kingdom's decision to impose sanctions on Israeli "extremist" settlers who were believed were engaged in violent attacks against civilians in the West Bank. However, the ministry believes that the sanctions are not sufficient to address the issue.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomes Britain's decision to impose sanctions on a number of settlers, but considers it insufficient and believes that the entire colonial settlement system must be addressed," the ministry posted on X.
Earlier, the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office announced the implementation of new sanctions against four Israeli individuals. These sanctions include restrictions on their finances and travel, as they have been allegedly involved in harassing and pressuring Palestinian communities to abandon their land.
