The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) deployed reservist troops to towns on Lebanon's border, the army said on Thursday in a report published in X, formerly known as Twitter.

"The forces are carrying out various defense tasks in the towns, which include patrols, ambushes, and the deployment of roadblocks, in order to ensure the safety of the residents," the military added.

In recent days, tensions in northern Israel have been spiraling due to several clashes with Hezbollah groups.
