Polish President Andrzej Duda and his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier discussed the deployment of German anti-aircraft missile systems along the border with Ukraine on Monday.
"Strengthening Poland's air defense is of great importance for building our security," Duda said as tensions stirred in the region when the rocket hit a village in Poland, killing two. The Polish president noted that groups of experts from Warsaw and Berlin will determine the locations of the German Patriot batteries deployment in the coming days.
During the bilateral meeting in Berlin, the two heads of states also revealed they expect the number of Ukrainian migrants to rise during the winter, stressing that both countries should seek the European Commission for financial assistance during the process.
