Poland's National Prosecutor's Office announced on Friday the arrest of four individuals suspected of being involved in an international sabotage plot. The detained are accused of conspiring to conceal explosives within packages that would detonate unexpectedly while in transit, with the intention of dispatching these parcels to destinations in the United States and Canada.
The wrongdoers face charges for "damaging industrial facilities and critical infrastructure such as airports, aircraft, and vehicles and initiating fires using courier parcels rigged for spontaneous combustion."
The group was also planning to send these disguised explosive packages to countries within the European Union and Great Britain, the prosecutor added.
