Protesters from Yellow Vests movement clashed with French anti-riot police in Paris on Saturday, as thousands took to the streets in a number of cities in France.
According to media reports, police detained at least 70 people in Paris, where tear gas was used to disperse the protesters. Meanwhile, clashes between police and citizens also erupted in Montpellier.
Previously, the French Interior Ministry stated that a total of 8,300 people are protesting, out of which 3,100 in Paris.
