The Holy See Press Office reported on Sunday morning that Pope Francis had a "peaceful night" and is continuing to rest.
In the morning statement, the Press Office stated that there was a "good response to gas exchange" during Pope's respiratory physiotherapy on Saturday, which alternates between "non-invasive mechanical ventilation and long periods of supplemental high-flow oxygen." However, the prognosis remains cautious.
The statement also showed that during Saturday evening, the Pope was free from fever and did not show signs of leukocytosis (high white blood cell count). Furthermore, he "remains alert, oriented, and in good spirits."
