Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MbS) spoke on the phone on Wednesday and agreed the two countries enjoy a "high level of friendly relations," the Kremlin press service reported.
The two leaders further agreed the relationship between their countries is based on mutual respect and "consideration of each other's interests." The topics of the conversation were the Russian-Saudi political as well as economic ties.
Putin and MbS also underlined the importance of maintaining stability in the oil market, as Russia and Saudi Arabia are both prominent members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
