Raiffeisen Bank International denied on Friday a report that claimed it decided to halt the plans to sell its Russian unit.
"The sale process has not been stopped or frozen," Raiffeisen spokesperson Christoph Danz told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the Financial Times reported Raiffeisen is planning to pause the sale plans in order to assess the current geopolitical situation and "if the position of the US might change" regarding calls on the bank to leave Russia. However, the bank said that it is not able to sell the unit for the time being due to an ongoing court case.
