Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman "agreed on the need to end war crimes against Palestine," Mohammad Jamshidi, Raisi's deputy chief of staff for political affairs, announced on social media platform X.
"Islamic unity was stressed & both believed the [Israeli] regime's crimes & the US green light will cause destructive insecurity for the regime & backers," Jamshidi added.
The first phone call between the two leaders lasted for 45 minutes, according to the Iranian official.
