Raisi allegedly held calls with Hamas, Islamic jihad leaders

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi held phone conversations on Sunday with the leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, IRNA news agency reported.

According to the media outlet, Raisi discussed the developments in Palestine with Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Ziyad al-Nakhalah, in two separate phone calls.

This communication took place one day after Hamas carried out an unexpected attack on Israel, resulting in a significant number of casualties.
