Entrepreneur and Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy allegedly told several people that, if elected, he would withdraw the United States from NATO, Politico reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
According to the report, Ramaswamy hinted the US could leave the alliance if "Ramaswamy or someone who shares his general worldview, such as former President Donald Trump, wins the election in November."
It was also reported that Ramaswamy gave similar statements earlier when he called the idea of leaving NATO "reasonable."
