At least two people were killed in a shooting that took place in Paris after the police opened fire at demonstrators that refused to comply with their orders.
According to various media reports, the shooting took place near the Pont Neuf. The two victims were allegedly among a group of people that refused to leave their car and allow the police to conduct a check.
The protest in Paris erupted following the reveal of the preliminary results of the French elections, which showed the victory of the incumbent president Emmanuel Macron over Marine Le Pen.
