Russia, Saudi Arabia to form joint economic council

Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) CEO Kirill Dmitriev (pictured centre) stated on Saturday that Russia and Saudi Arabia will soon create a joint economic council which will be tasked with implementing major projects.

That council should unite the largest firms and the most influential businessmen and would also boost joint investments, Dmitrev said.

Saudi Arabia is one of the largest investors in Russia and has invested $3.9 billion in cooperation with RDIF.
