The Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce (IRTP) is set to introduce a new system in February that will enable Russian companies to purchase Italian goods using rubles, as reported by RIA Novosti on Saturday.
According to IRTP head Ferdinando Pelazzo’s comments to the media, the system is expected to be fully operational by mid-February 2024.
"Our board of directors will take place on February 14 next year. We are convinced that on February 14 we will offer the full tool to our board of directors and practically from the next day everything will already be working. We just need to report back, get the go-ahead," he mentioned.
