The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday that it does not expect any changes in the relations with the United Kingdom after British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak appointed David Cameron (pictured) as foreign secretary. "The first statements of the new Foreign Minister fully confirm his commitment to a destructive line in bilateral affairs and London’s intention to continue to follow the path of escalation and contribute to the growth of international tension," the ministry told Ria Novosti.

Cameron has already visited Ukraine on his first trip as foreign secretary. He signaled that supporting Kiev "remains s top priority for the UK," while Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said their meeting "proved that Ukraine and the UK are determined to work together toward victory."
