Russian Defense Ministry announced in its Telegram post published on Wednesday that a vehicle carrying Russian peacekeepers was shelled in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The country's servicemen in the vehicle were killed in the incident, the ministry stated, adding that Moscow and Baku representatives of the investigating authorities are "working on the spot to clarify all the circumstances of the incident."
It was also reported that more than 3,000 civilians have been evacuated from the region by Russian peacekeepers since the beginning of Azerbaijan's anti-terrorist operation.
