Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov claimed on Friday that the "blood of the victims" of yesterday's attack on Russian civilians is "on the hands" of the United States.

The perpetrators of the attack were "inspired" by Washington's weapons support to commit "inhuman actions," Antonov told reporters, according to Russian state-owned media. Russia's Investigative Committee announced earlier in the day that it is investigating the incident in Bryansk, Russia as a "terrorist act."

Two civilians were killed and a child was wounded in an attack carried out by a "sabotage and reconnaissance group" that crossed the border from Ukraine according to Russian authorities, who also revealed the group was pushed back over the border.
