The Russian SU-34 fighter-bomber jet crashed in the northern Caucasus mountains during a routine training flight, the country's Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday.
The crash, which killed everyone on board, was likely caused by a technical malfunction, the ministry added. The aircraft, flying above North Ossetia–Alania Republic, is said to have fallen in a deserted area and did not cause damage on the ground.
