Russian forces repelled multiple attacks by Ukrainian assault groups in the Kursk region on Sunday, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The Russian military is said to have successfully thwarted attacks near several settlements. The ministry also reported that Ukrainian forces suffered losses of up to 40 personnel in the clashes. In addition to the personnel losses, Ukrainian forces allegedly lost a tank, four armored vehicles and two cars.
The Kursk region was recently targeted by Ukraine, resulting in the capture of several settlements over 1,000 square kilometers.
