Russian military progress in Ukraine slowed - UK officials

The United Kingdom Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that the advances of Russian troops into Ukraine slowed down, as the army has been trying to surround the main cities in the country.

"Due to strong Ukrainian resistance, Russian forces are committing an increased number of their deployed forces to encircle key cities. This will reduce the number of forces available to continue their advance and will further slow Russian progress," the Ministry wrote.

Ministry officials added that protests against Putin's special military operation have continued in the cities of Kherson, Melitopol and Berdyansk, all of which are currently under the control of the Russian army.
