Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov clarified on Saturday that Belarus has no control over Russian tactical nuclear weapons on its territory.

The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and Russia's international obligations are not violated as Moscow retains control over those arms, he told TASS in an interview.

On the other hand, the United States and its allies are "trying to use the NPT with the aim of imposing their view of the global world order and implementing their ambitions," the Russian diplomat noted.
