South Korea's largest umbrella labor union called an "indefinite general strike" on Wednesday until President Yoon Suk-yeol resigns.
The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) called on its more than one million members to stop working after Yoon's short-lived declaration of martial law, which the group described as a "crime of insurrection."
Earlier, leaders of South Korea's opposition parties also urged Yoon to resign.
