South Korea, China and Japan are preparing for a high-level diplomatic meeting in late March, according to a report by Japan's Asahi Shimbun.

The talks are expected to take place in Tokyo on March 22, with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visiting the city for three days to meet with Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya.

This will be the first such gathering in over a year, following a meeting in Busan, South Korea, in November 2023. According to the report, the discussions are likely to include separate bilateral talks between Cho and his counterparts.
