The Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), a United States federal government agency that supports small businesses, Linda McMahon (pictured), is set to announce her resignation later on Friday, US media reported citing sources familiar with her plans. She has been on the position since February 2017. The official unsuccessfully ran for Senate to represent Connecticut in 2010 and 2012, losing to Democrats both times.
Previously, McMahon has worked as the CEO of Titan Sports Inc., that later became World Wrestling Entertainment, a sports entertainment company she co-founded with her husband Vince McMahon. One source told Politico that she might play a fundraising role for the re-election campaign of President Donald Trump. According to some media reports, she is seen as a possible replacement for Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, if he resigns.
