Spanish Formula One Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has taken the pole position at the British Grand Prix qualifications on Saturday, joined on the front row by Red Bull's Max Verstappen. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished third in the race.

Furthermore, the fourth place was snatched by Red Bull driver Sergio Perez, followed by Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and McLaren's Lando Norris in fifth and sixth place, respectively.

"I put together a lap that I thought was nothing special, but it was on the board to see how it was, and it was pole position which came as a bit of a surprise," Sainz commented after the race, winning the first pole in his 150th race start.
