When asked by CNN's Anderson Cooper whether he thinks United States President Donald Trump is serious about a third term, US Senator Bernie Sanders replied, "Yeah, I do."
"What he wants is power and wealth for his oligarch friends. So nothing would surprise me about Trump," Sanders said during a CNN town hall. The Vermont senator also stressed that Trump's rhetoric and trade policies are damaging America's relations with its allies, especially with Canada and Mexico.
"These are our allies. We defeated Nazism, fighting with our friends in UK and France, throughout Europe," Sanders said, adding: "And now they're saying, 'What in God's name is going on with the United States of America?"
