South Korea will leave in place existing COVID-19 containment measures and purchase additional coronavirus vaccine doses, the leading party's spokesperson, Shin Hyun-young, said to the press on Wednesday, after a government meeting.
After the procurement of additional jab doses, the government will be able to offer citizens the so-called second booster, the spokesperson added.
Currently, the curbs in South Korea include a four-people cap for private gatherings, while most businesses can stay open until either 9 pm or 10 pm.
