French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday during a meeting with all those who contributed to the organization of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, that he believes the event showed the world "the true face of France."

He boasted about the success of the games, adding that Paris doesn't want "life to get back to normal." "This morning, we all feel a little nostalgic, there is nothing more to follow. There is no longer the enthusiasm of every morning," he remarked.

The games started on July 26 and lasted until yesterday, August 11. France hosted 10,714 athletes, with the United States dominating the medal table, totaling 126 medals.
