The closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games began at the Stade de France on Sunday. The Games included 10,714 athletes competing in 329 events in 48 disciplines. Paris is only the second city to host the Olympics three times, following London, which became a three-time host in 2012.
The United States won the most medals at 126, including 40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze, followed by China at 91, including 40 gold, 27 silver and 24 bronze. The host France came in fourth by total medal count, finishing with 64, including 16 gold, 26 silver and 22 bronze.
