Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was discharged Friday after 45 days in the hospital for a lung infection linked to chronic leukemia.
Berlusconi was admitted on April 5 to Milan's San Raffaele Hospital for treatment against the infection and remained in intensive care for more than ten days, raising speculation about his life.
His health has been the subject of debate in recent years. He underwent heart surgery in 2016 and has been repeatedly admitted to hospital since contracting COVID-19 three years ago.
