Slovak police charged a 71-year-old suspect Juraj Cintula with attempted premeditated murder of the country's Prime Minister Robert Fico, local media reported on Thursday.
According to the outlets, the suspect faces a sentence of 25 years in prison.
The 59-year-old Slovak prime minister is said to be in a stable but serious condition after being shot in his chest and abdomen on May 15 during his visit to Handlova.
