South Korea's consumer prices remained unchanged month-on-month and rose 3.2% y-o-y in December, according to data released by Statistics Korea. The figure was better than expected and down from 3.3% in November.
Compared with the previous month, industrial products fell, but services, livestock and fishery products, and electricity, gas, and water rose, with no overall change.
Excluding food and energy, the index rose 3.2% month-on-month and 0.2% year-on-year. Excluding agricultural products and petroleum products, the index was up 2.8% on a monthly basis and 0.2% compared with a similar month a year ago.
