Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced on Monday an additional €3.76 billion package to mitigate the damage caused by floods in Valencia.
In a press conference, Sanchez stated that 110 extra measures had been approved "as a matter of urgency" to address the devastation caused by the DANA, which, according to the latest report, has left 223 people dead. The prime minister emphasized that the government has already responded by deploying around 3,800 air and water vehicles, including amphibious ships, research vessels, and more than 200 heavy and light mud and water extraction teams.
Last week, Sánchez unveiled an initial relief package worth €10.6 billion.
