Sullivan supposedly to visit Israel, talk Gaza with PM

Outgoing United States National Security Advisor (NSA) Jake Sullivan will visit Israel on President Joe Biden's behalf to discuss the possibility of a new ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, Ynet reported on Monday.

According to people familiar with the matter, Sullivan will meet and talk about the matter with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, and his counterpart Tzachi Hanegbi.

Sullivan will reportedly also touch upon the matters of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the crisis in Lebanon, and the overthrowing of the deposed President Bashar al-Assad's regime.
