The Minnetonka Police Department said a suspect was taken into custody without incident on Monday outside UnitedHealthcare’s campus in Minnesota. Officers responded with a large police presence but confirmed there was no ongoing threat to the public. Authorities are continuing to secure the area.
The police have not released further details on the identity of the individual detained or the reason for their presence at the UnitedHealthcare site.
Local media mentioned that the arrest occurred more than four months after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot and killed outside a New York City hotel.
