Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday that his country will oppose the "pro-war" proposals at the meeting of the European Union's foreign ministers in Brussels.
"Brussels is now completely isolated in world politics as liberal European pro-war politicians continuously try to obstruct the success of peace negotiations," Szijjarto said in a post on Facebook. "Today in Brussels, several proposals will be on the agenda that seek to provide Ukraine with additional billions of euros or weapons from European taxpayers' money," he added.
Szijjarto also claimed that a "financial support package of at least €20 billion" is being prepared for Ukraine at today's meeting, noting that he will not " allow Hungarian taxpayers' money to be used to finance arms shipments to Ukraine."
