Lavrov: Russia owes no explanation about Wagner mutiny

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday that Moscow is not obliged to provide reassurances or explanations about the attempted rebellion by the Wagner Group last week.

"If someone in the West has any doubts, well, these are their problems," the minister stressed during the press briefing, describing mutiny by Yevgeny Prigozhin's group as a "mess."

Namely, the leader of the Wagner Group refused to sign contract with Russian Ministry of Defense, which could consequently mean that the mercenary group's forces could pull out of the war in Ukraine.
